Friends of Feckenham School (FoFS) was established in 2012 following the set up of the Parents Forum that had been running since 2009. We are a registered charity and hold an annual AGM as well as regular meetings throughout the year. We have a committee of officers with specific roles and a core group of parents who help run events. Being a ‘Friends Association’ means that the whole school community are members, whether they are parents, grandparents, staff or part of the local community. Anyone who wishes to support the school is welcome at any of the events, meetings or the AGM. We readily welcome new active members.

The Officers of the Association are the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
The current members of the committee are:

Chair: Helen Gee

Treasurer – Toni Morgan
Secretary – Fiona Simpson

FoFS exists to support our school community in making the children’s time at Feckenham School a little extra special. We aim to develop good relationships between parents and staff, support all of our families and to raise money to buy little extras for the school, from extra educational materials or additional equipment to helping the children in their play.

Over recent years we have organised many different events, some are listed below

  • Summer Fetes
  • Christmas Fairs
  • Easter Disco
  • Raffles
  • Big Banger Breakfasts
  • Quiz and Curry Nights
  • We also support the village community at events such as Feckenham Wake

These events have helped support the school by allowing us to purchase many items for the school, these include:

  • New playground equipment
  • New Science equipment
  • Citizenship trophies
  • Visualisers for each class
  • Subscriptions for web based resources to support the school curriculum
  • A new defibrillator and ongoing the maintenance – replacement batteries and pads
  • Leavers parties
  • Christmas trees
  • Repairs to forest school equipment
  • Contributions to school trips

We love being part of Feckenham School and are excited to continue to support them.
